Keynote 1: Computing in the Continuum: Harnessing a Pervasive Data Ecosystem
manish Manish Parashar is Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Rutgers University. He is also the founding Director of the Rutgers Discovery Informatics Institute (RDI2). His research interests are in the broad areas of Parallel and Distributed Computing and Computational and Data-Enabled Science and Engineering. Manish is founding chair of the IEEE Technical Consortium on High Performance Computing (TCHPC), Editor-in-Chief (elect) of the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, and serves on the editorial boards and organizing committees of a large number of journals and international conferences and workshops. He has over 350 publications and has deployed several software systems that are widely used. He has received a number of awards for his research and leadership. Keynote 2: Cognitive (Self-)Development of Smart Environments
Salima1 Salima Hassas is Professor at University of Lyon (Claude Bernard- Lyon 1 University). She leads the Multi-Agents Systems research group at the LIRIS-CNRS Laboratory. Her research interests include bio-Inspired multiagents systems and self-* (self-organizing and self-adaptive systems), constructivist approaches for autonomous and cognitive agents, developmental artificial intelligence... Her research is applied to several application domains like Smart Environments (Smart Home, Smart Grid, Smart traffic Road, ..) and Ambient Intelligence, Intelligent Mobility, Virtual Assistants and Recommendation Systems and Social Robotics. Pr. Salima Hassas, is also strongly involved in FAS* (Fundamentals and Application of Self-* Systems) community where she served several times at chairing positions for the IEEE SASO conference (Steering Committee, General Chair, PC Chair, etc.) she also serves in the PC of major conferences in AI (AAAI, AAMAS, IJCAI, ECAI, ALIFE, ECAL, …) and as Associate Editor for ACM TAAS (Transactions on Autonomous and Adaptive Systems) Journal. Pr. Salima Hassas is regularly invited as an Expert for European (H2020, FP7), National (ANR) and International (Germany, Canada, Norway, ..) research projects evaluation.

Keynote 3: AI Meets Advanced Mobility: Trends and Challenges
karray Fakhreddine Karray holds the University Research Chair Professorship in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada and directs the University’s Center for Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence. He received the PhD degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, USA in the area of Systems and Control. Karray’s current research interests are in the areas of intelligent systems design, big data analytics, soft computing, sensor fusion, and context aware machines with applications to intelligent transportation systems, Internet of things, cognitive robotics and natural man- machine interaction. He has authored extensively in these areas and has disseminated his work in journals, conference proceedings, and textbooks chapters. He has authored a textbook on soft computing and intelligent systems, nine edited textbooks and 24 textbook chapters. He is the co-author of 25 US patents (assigned and pending), has chaired/co-chaired 14 international conferences in his area of expertise and has served as keynote/plenary speaker on numerous occasions.

Keynote 4: Architectures and systems for eHealth monitoring

Prof. Jaime Lloret (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) received his B.Sc.+M.Sc. in Physics in 1997, his B.Sc.+M.Sc. in electronic Engineering in 2003 and his Ph.D. in telecommunication engineering (Dr. Ing.) in 2006. He is a Cisco Certified Network Professional Instructor. He worked as a network designer and administrator in several enterprises. He is currently Associate Professor in the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He is the Chair of the Integrated Management Coastal Research Institute (IGIC) and he is the head of the "Active and collaborative techniques and use of technologic resources in the education (EITACURTE)" Innovation Group. He is the director of the University Diploma “Redes y Comunicaciones de Ordenadores” and of the University Master "Digital Post Production". He has been Internet Technical Committee chair (IEEE Communications Society and Internet society) for the term 2013-2015. He has authored 22 book chapters and has more than 380 research papers published in national and international conferences, international journals (more than 140 with ISI Thomson JCR). He has been the co-editor of 40 conference proceedings and guest editor of several international books and journals.
